Who We Are

Principal Objectives:

Encourage, unify, fulfil and promote the joint actions of the National Private Initiative, with the goal of business integration, representing the general interests of free enterprise while contributing to the development of Honduras.

Core Doctrine:

  • The function of a democratic, representative nation is for the state to serve man, not for man to serve the state;
  • Respect for private property, with clearly defined rights and title;
  • The development of free enterprise safeguarded by the rights guaranteed by the Constitution and the laws;
  • Free enterprise based on competence, production, productivity, efficiency, and quality, in conditions of equal opportunity, observing strict ethical values and morals in all activities;
  • The creation of wealth that assures: the generation of employment and income; legitimate earnings for those who assume business risk; and, to the State, taxes for just and equitable distribution to the most needy in society;
  • The elimination of federal intervention in the productive activities of free enterprise;
  • The rationalization of public spending, based on a balanced budget that functions in accord with the real income of the nation, and that permits the freeing of resources for the development of productive activities;
  • Equal opportunity for all, with the widest liberty;
  • Free enterprise is the system that offers the opportunity to reach the highest levels of prosperity;
  • The elimination of all classes of fiscal and other privilege, and the correct application of the laws;
  • The development of business activity, in a system of free trade, based on the criteria of equality and reciprocity, within the framework of the processes of integration.
